[Image description(s): Two pictures of the same knockoff tangle, one with the tangle coiled, and one with it spread out. The tangle is covered in a geometric pattern of hexagons in almost every color imaginable. The pattern is warped slightly, and there are visible “seams” where it looks like there was a sticker put on. Both pictures have a wooden table for the background.]
I can’t find the exact link, but I ordered from the same listing as your knock off galaxy tangles, and it came in the mail today! I ordered near the end of July, so it definitely took a lot less time getting here than I expected.
The first thing I thought when I opened the packaging, is that it looks super cheap. It looks and feels matte (not sure how to describe the texture other than that), and it looks like the pattern was some kind of sticker, so the pattern is wobbly and doesn’t really connect to itself. I really do like the pattern though! The amount of colors on it is insane, and it’ll give me something to look at and focus on when I’m trying to calm myself down during a meltdown or panic attack.
The only real complaint I have that isn’t about the appearance is that it feels a lot more stiff than my official Tangle Jr’s, but that’s not a complete turn off.
Overall, it’s a really good product for the price, and I’ll definitely be bringing it with me in my portable stim kit!
Here’s the link ($1.19 USD plus $0.59 USD shipping) and here’s Mod CD’s review. I’m sorry that nobody is getting the galactic print Tangles!
One thing I’ve noticed, after reading @voxyboo and CD’s takes on these Tangles, is that the galactic print Tangles do have the same seam lines and faded/misprinted places where the colours didn’t print onto the white Tangle beneath. Because the print itself has white splotches and colour fades, though, it just looks like part of the pattern and the need for matching isn’t as great. On these Tangles, it’s more obvious.
Thank you so much for your submission, @voxyboo! There’s so much variety in Tangle fake smoothness, stiffness and ease of use, even from the same supplier, so it’s really good to have lots of takes on these, even if only to give buyers some idea of what they might expect.

[Image description: A light skinned hand holding a black cylindrical platform with a blue base. The platform is about twice as thick as the thumb holding it. The platform is magnetic and has a cluster of tiny metal, silver moons and stars on it. Some of the moons and stars sit flat on the base, and other stack high in a rough pyramid shape, stars positioned point to point against each other. The platform is held above a light tan/beige wooden tabletop.]
So I was cleaning my room today and I came across this on my shelf. I decided to play around with it, and it’s really stimmy! It’s a magnetic “platform” and the small moons and stars stick to it and to each other. You can move the shapes around and kind of pull them upwards so they form a “tower”, which was my favorite thing to do. It was really fun to see what would stick to the magnetic base and what wouldn’t, and I ended up stimming with it for a while instead of cleaning my room (oops!). The only problem I have is that the points on the stars tend to poke into my hand if I grab them the wrong way, so I need to be careful with how I grab them.
(I hope the image description is okay, it’s my first time writing one.)
Wow! @voxyboo, I’ve seen a lot of different stim toys through this blog, but I literally gasped out loud when I saw this in my inbox. How fabulous! All the want!
I couldn’t find the exact same toy online. There is something with the same stars and moons on a slightly different platform, listed as “Magnetic Star and Moon Sculpture” on Amazon - only $5.82 USD, with free shipping on orders over $25 and Prime available.
In the “customers who purchased this” section of the above link, there’s a range of other magnetic sculptures that feature tiny balls (similar to ball bearings), acrobats, snowflakes, butterflies and dolphins, so there’s likely a variation to suit most stimmers.
Thank you so much, both for a super unique submission and the image description. I added a little more to it, but I really appreciate it when folks take the time to make things a little easier for me. A base description to work off helps me out a lot.

[Image Description: A light skinned hand wearing a bracelet with a gray couch cushion in the background. The bracelet is made of multiple silver rings, linked together by silvery brass eye hooks threaded through each ring and a coloured bead that sits in the middle of each ring. The beads have a central black dot with light blue, white, and blue rings around them, almost resembling an eye.]
Oh my goodness, I found this super awesome bracelet today in the gift shop at the Downtown Aquarium in Denver! The beads roll independently of everything else, so it’s super easy to stim and/or fidget with. Since it’s a bracelet it’s discreet and I don’t think anybody will question it. As someone who bites their nails down to the point of bleeding when I don’t have my trusty fidget cube or chew necklace with me, this will be great for times when I can’t bring either of those with me in public. Oh, and it also reminds me of these necklaces I saw in an Etsy shop, but I can’t remember the name of it for the life of me! Dangit.
Anyway, they also had other super stimmy stuff like stretchy rubber sea creatures with little pellets in them that make crunchy noises when you squish them, but I didn’t have enough money to buy both the bracelet and the stretchy animal. (I’m still frustrated about that!!) If anyone lives in Colorado and/or can travel to the Denver area, I really recommend going to the Downtown Aquarium, probably on a week day or kind of early/late so there isn’t a bunch of loud kids running around. I always find aquariums very visually stimmy, and the gift shop is an awesome bonus! :)
(I know the image description isn’t that great but I tried to put down what I could with the little spoons I have left. I know that writing image descriptions for everything is probably pretty tough, so I tried to give you something to work off of.)
Thank you so much for your submission, @voxyboo! This is a super stimmy bracelet, and I love that it’s so subtle. Hooray for tourist gift shops!
Thank you so much for your description. Anything helps me out, truly - a base to work from means I think less and type less, and both are a great help. Besides, there wasn’t much wrong with yours as is!

DUUUUDE! I'm currently rereading the warriors series after like 4-5 years because of your blog and like,,, It's so good even after all this time. I just started reading Dawn and I'm just so unreasonably frustrated at what happened to Leafpaw. :L (not saying it just in case someone here hasn't gotten to that point)
you mean when she got caught? i liked that bit tbh and dawn is sucha good book
I have a positivity... Sunday? (Heh, sorry that It's a bit late.) On Saturday we had our first actual marching band competition! Lots of cool things happened, but my favorite was when I saw a band with super polished and shiny sousaphones and it made me flap because of how pretty they were! (Almost hit my friend too, oopsies.) We ended up getting 1st in our class and I'm glad we have such a good start to the season!
Awesome!

Positivity Friday! Me and my family are going to be fostering a dog that was evacuated from Texas (I think that's right wording) and I'm super excited! He's coming in like an hour or so from the time I sent this (we live in CO and he was sent on his way here yesterday) and I can't wait to meet him. He's a pointer/great Dane mix and his name is Clark. Let's just hope he gets along well with my other pets!
Hopefully he gets along well. And I’m sure he’s going to be happy to have you after everything.

(This is less of an ask and more of some kind of commentary, hope that's okay) So when I was younger, like in middle school so so, I used to hate the "Special Education" kids. Even as someone with an IEP, they always just bugged me for one reason or another. But now as I grow older and have been self diagnosed as autistic for a year now... I understand. They wear ear defenders during lunch so they aren't overwhelmed, they probably are yelling because of sensory overload, and they are weird (1/?)
(2/2) Because of social difficulties. Even though I may not fully tolerate them still (the yelling is a bit to overwhelming for me), I know why they are they way they are. And that's a nice realization to come to.
I’m glad you’ve had a realization that has brought you more understanding for others.
