Here's how you can watch Eurovision 2016 and 2017 LIVE Performances! (for non-European europals) (REFERENCE LIST)
Hey guys, there’s a problem where people outside of Europe and Australia can’t watch the Eurovision livestream of the 2016 and 2017 edition as well as the individual performances
Before you all say that this isn’t such a big problem, there are Eurovision artists THEMSELVES who live in the United States and as a result cannot watch their own performances, such as Svala, Tijana Bogićević , and Lindita Halimi, who actually tweeted about it on her Twitter.
In addition, for some reason, the official YouTube channel for the Eurovision Song Contest geographically blocked anyone outside of Europe (and Australia) from watching the live streams and the live performances for both the 2016 and 17 edition. This has happened since Eurovision announced that Americans can now watch the contest via Logo TV, which a lot of household TVs don’t have.
Here are some ways you can watch Eurovision 2016 and 2017 LIVE performances and live streams:
1. Dailymotion
Even though Dailymotion isn’t a very popular video service, it doesn’t block videos geographically, so you are sure to find Eurovision videos here. To add credibility because I’m off to a bad start, I was able to find some of the Eurovision 2017 LIVE performances; however, the ones I found were the FINAL performances, so if you want to look for performances that didn’t qualify, you’re kinda out of luck. There are no live streams either so you’re out of luck there too. I don’t really use Dailymotion anymore just because I don’t like it, but that’s just a preference.
2. Use a VPN Proxy website (the one below WORKS!)
This is the method I’ve recently started to use and I much prefer. A really good website to use is Proxyfree (proxfree.com/youtube-proxy.php), which is surprisingly really easy to use. You paste the link onto the bar, change the IP location to a European country, and violá, you can watch any Eurovison 2016 or 2017 LIVE Performance, as well as the livestream of the semi final 1 & 2 and the final for both contests.
