@vrake sent in from jordan / ‘ i do not appreciate being stared at. ’
Awkward. She rocked back on her heels, but didn’t even try to pretend that she hadn’t been staring. Since the whole.. change, she’d been able to pick up on things here and there. One of those was magic. But it wasn’t obvious on her-- Just like it wasn’t exactly obvious on her dorm mate, either. And she got the sense that going around and asking people what kind of creature they were was kind of .. uncouth. Doubly so when she was trying to hide herself. Still, she remembered the few moments when she went into town with her mother to pick up supplies and how the both of them could tell that there was another werewolf around ( usually it was only the one elderly man carving wooden figurines on the porch of the general store, but-- still, they just seemed to know with no confirmation. )
Codie sucked in a breath and decided ( in that split second of hesitation ) that she was just going to roll with it. Fuck it, she stared. At the very least, she could play it off as being shocked by Jordan’s sense of style. Which, really, was kind of unusual for her to see anyways. The few people she’d been around dressed for practicality, not.. whatever that was. “My bad!” The words rolled off her tongue with ease, and made no attempt to tame her own wild accent.
“I was really just tryin’ to figure out what kinda pants those are. And your--” She paused and gestured to her own face. “Make up. Ain’t ever seen it before, but it’s pretty. Makes your eyes pop.” She finished the sentence with an exaggerated pop of her lips, the smile sliding into place easily. “’Sides, I think we’ve got next class together.”
