Hahaha that’s a tactful way to put it. But yeah honesty I like Loki BECAUSE he’s The Fucking Worst, my favorite Loki screentime is him being an absolute little shit, and that has led me to... not be terribly drawn to his fandom.

Mmmmmmmmmmm. I also would really like to read some of these things. Many of these things. I think the thing that bothers me about a lot of Loki fic (mostly I've read Tony/Loki...kinda just cause and also because I refuse to get into incest shippery. It's just not even remotely a little bit my thing) is that a lot of the fic excuses a lot of the things Loki has done and makes him into a victim. I mean something has to give in some places for it to even work, but at the end of the day he has done

YEP, all of this. And I mean, I’m also here for Loki having buckets of issues and for terrible, terrible things happening to him--but taking the edge off the ways he acts out in response just spoils the fun. And also when Steve in particular is in play, Steve has gone through a lot of similar shit and turned out very differently, which makes the woobifying and excuse-making a lot harder to prop up. I would be ALL THE FUCK OVER them getting into vicious conflict or unexpectedly bonding over similar backstory issues (or both!!1), but not into using one to bash or vindicate the other. (I don’t want to bash Loki for being the Actual Worst, but I don’t want to come up with reasons why he isn’t, either. Because again, for me, Loki: Actual Worst Little Shit = THE WHOLE APPEAL.)

Oh shit if you get into Dragon Age I dunno if my heart can take it. I'm in Dragon Age hell right now.

My ability to actually play video games tops out at... Tetris, or I guess like... Candy Crush? Two Dots? Avengers Academy? And I’ve lurked/read in a lot of fandoms where I didn’t feel capable of writing due to a shaky grasp of canon; I don’t think I’d attempt to write anything without having played the game, and I am about as likely to play an entire Bioware game as I am to take up roller derby.
