Does anyone have any theories for the Castle Beacon starting on red? Both for how it got turned red, and why lore wise the barrier only got up once the Town Beacon got turned orange.
I do believe that it had to have been turned red in between Owen's massacre and the start of the smp 200 years later. Owen himself said that he burned the town hall that stood in the castle ruins, so it's unlikely that it got turned due to him just being close. He didn't even go in there. It's also where a lot of the humans gathered to seek refuge from him, so if anything, the beacon should've been orange.
One theory I have is that the concentration of human death around the Castle Beacon turned it red, but then that'd also have to be true for the Town one. Another theory is that it turned red because Scott awoke from his forced slumber, and the breaking of that curse unleashed a maleficent energy that affected the nearby beacon.
Both of these don't have any basis of proof in the series at all, so the only logical conclution I have that somewhen in this 200 year gap, another vampire came through, turned that Beacon red, and just left?
But then how does the barrier work? Did it only activate when there had been 1 red and one orange Beacon? Neutral Beacon theory real after all???
