Thanks to the many, many microphones Auddict used to record this library you can’t help but feel the power of the Taikos, the unique sound of the Surdos and the epic majesty of the Timpani Ensemble. These drums are life-like and brilliantly sampled, as opposed to some others that can sound dull and muddy.
To ensure that they did not miss out on a single quality that these magnificent instruments had to offer Auddict took the decision to recorded with up to five mic positions, giving you maximum flexbility to sculpt your own sound!
All of the drums are played with multiple mallets, sticks and varying techniques providing you with great drum sound as well as solid rim shots and cracks!
Depending on which set of drum samples you are using as there are a variety of two, three and five microphone positions available. With double the sample set size and a focus on more of a “shot to the gut” percussive sound, “Drums of the Deep 2” is very complementary to “Drums of the Deep 1” and aimed squarely at those who need a truly impactful drum sound to carry an action scene or drive the momentum in a trailer piece!
12 Patches of Deeply Sampled Percussion For Maximum Impact!
Weighing in at 27GB of sampled material and consisting of 12 individual patches, “Drums of the Deep 2” was deeply-sampled with one aim in mind… to ensure that your music performance/playback is as natural and versatile as possible!
Dynamic layers are numerous (up to seven) as are round robins (up to seven per dynamic layer)… giving you up to an astounding 49 variations per drum!
Even if the drums provided weren’t already impressive enough on their own (they are!), you can take things even further with some experimentation, by stacking and mixing a Taiko and the Timpani Ensemble for instance and sculpting a sound that is guaranteed to make you speakers shake!
Also provided are Hi/Low cut EQ filters and the ability to alter the tuning of the individual drums along with a dedicated control for Reverb. This flexibility along with the impeccable sound quality and 2 Mic/4 Mic/5 Mic patches allow for an endless combination of tweaking!
