Not to be a massive nerd, but to be a massive nerd, I've been toying around with the idea of writing a vampire fic, but I'm completely undecided on the characters yet... And because I'm me, I wanted to throw in a little VTM lore, but I'm not clued up enough to write a fic set fully in the WoD (yet)...
So, I was thinking about the vampires from the Sims, and I wish I'd paid more attention to TS3 while I was playing it because I know some of those vampires would be excellent candidates for this... We'll have some characters from TS2 and TS4 instead, and what VTM Clans I think they'd belong in...
Virginia Feng - She talks about how a vampire fell in love with her musical talents and embraced her so she could play the piano forever... If that doesn't place her firmly in Clan Toreador, well, I don't know what would. While she can play music for the rest of her days, and technically speaking, she's a brilliant musician, her music is missing a certain je ne sais quoi... When it comes to disciplines, Virginia rarely uses them, but she's skilled in auspex and presence. Her compulsion is for music; she loves it even if it's not the same as it was when she was human. She is obsessed with the tortured artist aesthetic and loves how Strangetown lights up at night.
Count Vladislaus Struad (IV) - I'm assuming our boy Vlad is TS4's answer to Dracula, and just like Dracula in the WoD, he's Clan Tzimisce. He's an independent Tzimisce and uninvolved with the Sabbat Sect (which I believe is quite rare and maybe for the better in this case). His Dark Form stems from his mastery of the Protean discipline. And he looks exactly how he wants to look, but don't be fooled, he may look feeble, but he's reinforced his skin, and he's way stronger than his physical appearance would have you believe. He says he's not big on the flesh-crafting fetish his Clan seems to have, just take his word for it and don't look in his basement... He enjoys making ghouls and uses Dominate to make sure all of his ghouls cower at the first syllable of his name because they're so afraid of loyal to him. When it comes to his weakness, he needs to have the soil from his homeland and Forgotten Hollow nearby if he wants to sleep. As he gets older, he needs more and more things to keep him grounded. His reign over Forgotten Hollow is uncontested mostly because no one knows what happened to those who have tried before... Again, don't look in the basement.
Miss Hell/Marybelle Smith - If we ignore that Vlad embraced her, a big part of Miss Hell's lore is that she loved her reflection, more specifically, her beautifully straight teeth. This girl is Clan Lasombra, given how much she misses seeing her reflection, and Lasombra normally like to destroy the lives of those they Embrace. I'm guessing her Sire knew it wouldn't take a lot to break her (again ignoring Vlad). She hates that her physical appearance can never be captured, not in photos or videos, and not even in paintings. Miss Hell also resents not being able to use technology. She's probably the leader of the Rebellious Vampires, which would be fitting for her Clan; one of them is probably not Lasombra to help them keep their link to the modern world. She would be skilled in Dominate, using it in that classic Lasombra way (for anything and everything, even if the person she's using it on would have done what she wanted them to anyway). She's evil and hates children, which also makes her a good match for her Clan (Lasombra have the bane of being ruthless). She's okay with Oblivion and Potence; both could use some work, but she can probably take out three other vampires alone before falling herself. She mostly uses Oblivion to scare people or get from place to place.
Lilith Vatore - Again, ignoring that Vlad was the one who embraced her, I can see her being Clan Toreador because she's creative and has Celerity, but I think Clan Brujah would be where she really shines because she already seems to possess TS4 versions of Celerity, Potence and Presence. She dislikes Vlad, which is pretty rebellious of her, and Brujah love to rebel against or fight for what they think is right. She's not opposed to welcoming more vampires into the world. Still, she'd be careful about who she picks as part of her "vampire family." There's a screening process, and if you don't make the cut, no Brujah blood for you!
Caleb Vatore - If we ignore that he was Embraced by Miss Hell, Caleb definitely is a Toreador at heart. He's a foodie, which, to me, implies he's a talented Chef as a human, and he yearns to be human again, as he misses the food he creates (and the sun). I can see him being Embraced because some other Toreador thought Caleb (and what he could do with food) was beautiful; ironically, they became so obsessed with him that they robbed him of the one joys he had in human life. He can still cook and bake, but not being able to eat his creations feels like a personal punishment. He's skilled in Presence and Celerity. He rarely uses Auspex, though he probably should. (This is ignoring his vampire perks from the Sims 4.)
It's stupidly rare for two biological siblings to be vampires, so Caleb and Lilith still being "alive" and in contact with each other in unlife makes them definite outliers in the vampire community.
Ignoring the dynamics of the Sims, none of these guys can go out in the sun; otherwise, it's Final Death for them. They also definitely can't stomach human food at all and would vomit violently afterwards if they try to keep it down. Also, the whole Garlic and holy symbols thing is irrelevant; they'd only feel a repulsion/impending sense of doom around those who truly believe in God/The Watcher. And (apart from Miss Hell) they can all cast reflections provided the mirror isn't made of silver.
Also, there's no official Sect in Forgotten Hollow, so Camarilla, Sabbat, Anarchs, etc. are out. All these guys are independent and operate using common sense. If you do something stupid, hunters or the Second Inquisition are coming for you, and that puts every other vampire in the area at risk. Vlad acts as the unofficial judge, jury, and executioner, so stay on his good side or you'll find out about his basement. I do see there being a Sect in San Myshuno, but I don't know which one, probably Camarilla.
Virginia is the exception in Strangetown; she's responsible for herself and keeps an eye out for other vampires, ideally chasing them out of town because the population is barely big enough to handle her feeding habits without raising suspicion. Virginia is probably weary of Division 47, and if the humans weren't so obsessed with aliens, zombies, and ghosts, she'd 100% be ashes by now. In reality, she'd probably not be in Strangetown with Annie Howell being a werewolf because Annie wouldn't be able to be in the same town as her without turning into a wolf and trying to kill her (Sorry to all the VirginiaXAnnie shippers).
That Vampire/Werewolf relationship would also extend to the Vatores and Lily Zhu, so no family reunions there.
(This also might be inaccurate as I don't know much about werewolves in the WoD outside of they protect Gaia, hating the Wyrm and sensing vampires as products of the Wyrm unless they've been corrupted. And because a singular werewolf often means instant death, Vampires don't know that much about werewolves at all.)
Any additional lore from Maxis/The Sims or WoD/VTM would probably heavily influence my opinions on these headcanons and change them massively as a result. All of this involves ignoring who embraced whom, because otherwise all TS4 vampires would be in the same Clan/Bloodline as Vladdy (minus Virginia, who's probably never crossed paths with any of them).
