Sebastian LaCroix x Reader pt. 2 Difficult Lessons
There was the sounds of footsteps approaching. When LaCroix looked up he saw his sheriff with someone that he could only assume was the childe from the night before; except for now they looked quite different because they were... well, they were clean. There was plenty that still needed to be done to make them even remotely fit the Camarilla visage, but this would do for now. The most important thing was to teach them about how they were to behave themselves in kindred society and why they had to do so. Being a learned man, LaCroix was convinced that he could do so in a week or so.
There was noway that he could have been anymore wrong.
After about forty-five minutes he had only managed to get this mule of a person past the very base of the very beginning of what being a kindred was. "So, we don't call ourselves vampires, but that's what we are. People aren't calling me a child, but rather a, "childe," with an E, which means that I'm a new vam- uh- kindred. And, we we can't let that humans know that we aren't human any more for some reason?" Based on the tone of their voice they still weren't sure about a single thing that they just said. With a heavy, exasperated sigh LaCroix stood and pinched the bridge of his nose. He had met many, many kindred form your clan or else he would have thought that maybe that would have something to do with how dense your skull seemed to be. "I have somewhere very important I have to be for the next hour." He groaned as he headed to the door. "By the time I return I expect you to have learned... at least something!" With that he stormed out of the room, the sheriff right behind him.
As soon as the prince( which the confused child learned was simply a title, and he wasn't in fact royalty) was out of earshot, they immediately mimicked his tone, "Learn at least something!" before snorting in anger. "Learn something, my ass! What am I even supposed to do with these old books by myself?" They dropped the one in their hands onto the large table with a slight bang and a cloud of dust. With a few coughs that waved their hand in front of their face to shoo away the offending dust. "Oh, he should just wait until I get the hang of this whole vampire thing! I'll build up his trust and then take him out to the middle of the ocean. And, when he least expects it... BAM! Down he goes! 'No, officer! I don't know what happened. He told me he was going swimming and never came back.'" They started to flip lazily through one of the old books before continuing to plot. "I'll meet the king of the vampires, or whoever and convince him to put prince snobby pants in front of a firing squad or something!" Directly after saying this there was the sound of someone clearing their voice. Turning greeted the kindred with the sight of LaCroix standing in the doorway.
Now, LaCroix knew that there wasn't a reason to fear the one in front of him as in this point of their life he could easily take them down himself if need be. He did however know that this behavior would be dangerous if it continued after they had gotten the hang over everything. He was also very aware on how to knock a young one like this down a few pegs. LaCroix looked them directly in the eyes and sternly told his would be assassin, "Your blood rations for the evening have been lessened. Do not make me take them away entirely." He then calmly turned around and walked out the door.
The sheriff was waiting for him down the hall in front of the meeting room. Before LaCroix entered he looked over to his behemoth of a bodyguard and stated as he gave a nod back to the room he just came from, "Remind me to never go swimming with our young associate in there." The sheriff had no idea what LaCroix was talking about
