Our Responsibility as Artists
Identifying with the soul and spirit in any situation makes one more vulnerable, but vulnerability and honesty can encourage and motivate change. The self has never been more important than it is now. My respect goes to those who question it, and take responsibility for its effect on others and the value-system of the world. In dealing with reality and being honest in vulnerability, I trust that the fears which accompany the search for value in a self-gratifying, selectively moral, fast moving, and fragmented world will not discourage artists from exposing their truth. It is within the realms of our youth that we look for hope for the future- our generation has been left with a lot of muck to clear. The Conscience in Capitalism is in short supply.
