prompt: Luke in Mandalorian Armour

I decided to draw this one instead of writing something, mainly because I wanted to play around with the design for Luke's armour a bit and because it was a nice opportunity to draw some helmets!

There's nothing too deep going on with the design I settled on, mostly just little hints and parallels to stuff.

Behind the colours I chose for his armour is a mix of canon and fanon mando armour meanings - the orange is for 'a lust for life' (canon), while the teal is for healing (fanon).

This - the teal - I just really liked for Luke, not so much in the literal medic wound healing type way, but in the metaphorical sense. I also just really like vibrant colours (and the combination of teal and orange just is very Codywan coded to me, which ties in nicely with my 'Codywan raise Luke AU')

As for his helmet pattern: it's very loosely based on the masks Jedi temple guards wear. Now where exactly Luke would've learnt about those, I don't know. Don't think about it too much.

And last but not least, on his gauntlet...thing I added a little rebellion symbol :D

It's finished!!! I started this piece for last year's mermay but that didn't exactly work out time wise lol But!! This year!!! After 9+ hours spent on this it's finally done ✨️
