Truth be told, Ryker had no idea why he was roaming around Auradon right now, aside from that’s what his feet wanted him to do. When he wanted to be on the move, there was honestly no stopping the Lost Kid. After all, there were adventures out there, just waiting for him to face them head on. However, they’d have to wait for another time, since all of those thoughts had taken a backseat to thoughts related to his time spent growing up in the Roaring Twenties. Then, a familiar figure entered his line of sight, which brought a smile onto his face. “Hey, there’s my favorite Lost Kids recruiter,” the male greeted, tone an affectionate one.

“ not often ye come aboard the ship,” he spoke when he glanced up to see deena in his doorway. “ was the crew accommodating? ” he smirked, moving to put one of his swords aside. they didn’t get near as much use these days so he had been inspecting the blades to make sure they weren’t damaged or growing dull.

Being in the same grade and being the younger sister to one of his favorite teachers had helped Carlos warm up to Rosie faster than he did with most people. That was why he had stopped to talk to her even though all he wanted to do was hide away in his room with Dude. “You... You trust me with Dude, right?” He questioned, glancing down at the furry dog in his arms.

     “busy day?” a women left as sauda walked in, leaving her and deena in the hair salon alone. surprisingly, she had come for actual business. her hair had grown near past her hips without her notice. she preferred it long but split ends were appearing and just as she had taken pride in keeping her fur clean when she was a lioness, she would take pride in making sure her hair was well taken care of. “do you have time for one more?”

     as much as carlos disliked it, he had to have dude on a leash at this event for the sake of not losing the pup in the crowd. unfortunately the small dog was winding his leash around the boy’s legs, tripping him and forcing him to spill the water bowl in his hands all over the girl in front of him. “ dude! i’m so sorry! i was trying to give him water but he got excited and --- yeah,” he explained lamely.

     “ well, that was some performance. ” the pirate approached her with an unreadable tone. “ didn’t think i’d see ye giving a show tae this lot. ” the second statement definitely held some underlying judgement. yes, leland was doing his best to act as some reformed vk seeking help but it was an act. he had no intention of parading around as a trophy of auradon’s to show they had done such a good job. “ at least it kept me from nodding off tae their --- safe choices. ”
