kieran chuckled and shook her head “have you actually talked to any of us without trapping us against the wall? that might have something to do with it.” she smiled at the other. a sigh left her at the other’s question, she knows what the girl was hitting at, everyone that found out she was a lost kid wanted to know when she was born “definitely not one of the new ones.” she tilted her head quirked her brow “you want to know about your father don’t you? is not my real age that you’re fishing for.”
“where’s the fun in that? are the lot of ya too stupid to think on your feet?” cj’s smirk fell when the girl directly mentioned her father. maybe she was smarter than she thought, had to be if she was old enough to remember her father even if she didn’t look it. “don’t care about either. who the hell cares about how old you are anyways?” she diverted the subject although she was somewhat curious. the lost kids chose to be kids so she reasoned their mental age would only grow as much as they allowed it. denial was a powerful thing.
“of course it doesn’t” kieran shrugged her shoulders at the other’s words, she had only heard about the youngest hook until now, and she was trying the hardest to not let what the girl said get to her at least not visibly “none of us is stupid, in fact i like to help everyone one else to improve their skills when we are in neverland.” she gave the other the best smile she could muster.
“could’ve fooled me,” she retorted. arms loosely crossed, she was hoping the other would have been more confrontational. unfortunately, her reasonable demeanor was only pissing cj off more. “where you around back then or are you one of the newbies?” she was trying to guess how old the girl actually was and if she might remember anything about her father when he was in his prime.
a hand reached up to twirl one of her black and blue curls as she nodded again. at cj’s playful comment, a small smile curled onto the goddess’s features and she laughed. “sometimes hell could be better, especially when dad is in a good mood,” lilith replied with a shrug. “i don’t understand why they pretend they’re all good. a normal person can’t be that good, they know that right? sometimes someone has a little bad in them.”
“being related to the king of hell i’m sure makes it more bearable,” she amended. the younger was curious about what hell was actually like but she decided to save those questions for later. “i don’t know. maybe... maybe they’re afraid to admit that villains don’t always start out evil. one drop of wickedness could be all someone needs.”
nodding at cj’s words, she slid in the chair across from the blonde. lilith could care less about her father’s last name being attached to her. the goddess had been around for thousands of years and proven to be terrifying when she wanted to be. “are you liking it over here?” she asked, leaning back in her chair. “i find this place a lot better than my home. but then again, i’m from the fiery pits of hell so, anything is better than that.”
“yes and no.” she shrugged. a large red hoodie covered her small frame and she picked at the frayed edges of her sleeves, thinking over her time so far in auradon. “anything is better than the isle... except maybe hell,” she added playfully. “but i’m not a huge fan of the rules and all the faux goodness everyone tries to live and breath here.” at least villains were honest about who and what they were. despite all their plans for manipulation, it was easier to tell where you stood with a wicked villain rather than some do-gooder with a charming smile and false promises.
if there was anything lilith seriously disliked, it would be the other vks outside of her family. some of them acted all big and bad while the rest acted scared as if they belonged in auradon. walking out of lava java, the goddess noticed a slightly familiar face. “why lookie here…” she mused, walking over to the younger girl. “cj hook in auradon? came to join your siblings?”
the youngest hook had learned not to fear names. a lot of vks liked to live off the evil coattails of their parents and it was pathetic. cj respected her father but the hook name would only mean little to others in the long run if she didn’t prove herself. that’s why it wasn’t her father that made lilith intimidating to cj. “yeah, right.” she scoffed, glancing up at the female. “i came because i wanted to. seeing them is just a bonus.” she shrugged.
“ ya know, i might find ya easier to take seriously if ya didn’t look like a little boy. oh---” she paused in mock surprise before a cruel smirk curved onto her lips. “but then you’d just be a withered old man. tired. and alone.” when it came to the lost kids, cj put no filter on her cruelty.
“ eternally young doesn’t mean eternally stupid, ” she sneered. cj had one of the lost kids cornered and it was a little weird to think that a kid like this could have given her father so much trouble even when he had been in his prime. if her blind faith in hook wasn’t so strong, she would have realized just how weak that made him.
starter/plotting call ! give this a LIKE and i’ll message you to plot. see her intro for some wanted connections and i’ll make a starter once we’ve got something plotted!
* — ( NATALIE ALYN LYND / SHE/HER ) introducing CJ HOOK the SIXTEEN year old descendant of CAPTAIN HOOK. they have TWO SIBLINGS. they are a STUDENT at AURADON PREP. they’re known to be ADVENTUROUS and RECKLESS.
here’s cj hook, the youngest of the hook children!
she is not apart of a crew, mostly a pirate by the association of her family but her sword skills are still one of the best and she loves adventure more than anyone.
when it comes to her father she feels forgotten. it’s no secret that harriet is the favorite and while harry might be stuck gleaning off their father’s hatred, she feels nothing but indifference coming from him. she hasn’t decided yet if that’s worse than being hated.
she still emulates her father in the way she dresses and pays homage to her pirate roots, secretly hoping he’ll show her some attention.
she adores both her siblings, looks up to them and sees all the amazing things about them that they might not see in themselves but of course she’ll never say it and does banter with them a lot.
outside of her family, she has a hard time connecting with people. she shifts unwillingly between charming and antagonizing, making it hard for people to read her but it makes for a good distraction when she’s pulling a con or thieving. she won’t let you forget that she’s a vk after all.
maybe because she has none of her own but she has a strange fascination with magic.
nobody knows that cj stand for calista jane aside from her family because she only wants the people closest to her to ever use it.
she knows she has the potential to be something great whether that’s a villain or something else, but she also knows she needs a few more years to grow into that potential so she bides her times with small adventures and petty schemes.
