Kara stood in front of Nat as she finished getting ready. It was a casual party but as the redhead pulled her hair out from her shirt, Kara couldn't help but be a bit jealous of such a beautiful person. She leaned against the doorframe as she put red lipstick on to contrast with her alabaster skin and light blond hair. Looking down at her pink sweater and very low slung jeans, she realized that the bottom of her sweater didn't quite make it low enough and her pierced bellybutton was showing. Her father hated when she dressed this way but now that she was in college, she wasn't about to let his rules stand anymore. She was already furious with the call she'd received.
"Nat, are you having an arranged marriage. I know your father and my grandfather are close. I just got a call from my father and he said that he'd spoken to my grandfather and they'd decided who I'd be marrying."
She sighed, wishing that her mother could be there. If she hadn't died maybe she'd be free to one day marry who she wanted. Kara nodded at her answer. "Well maybe I'll get to see him tonight. My father wouldn't tell me his name just that he goes to King's and he was a Heathen." Just as she'd mentioned the group, she saw Clint come out of the kitchen with a bag of chips. "Seriously, don't you have any food at the Elite mansion."
Kara shook her head and grabbed a short leather coat and put it on. "Okay so let's get a move on before I chicken out and go back to bed." She giggled at Clint before wrapping her arm around Natasha's.
------the heathens mansion----
As the three of them walked in, her eyes widened. She'd been to plenty of events for the Elites but this was her first crossing lines. She was taken back by the size and decadence of the place but tried to remain focused on the people around her. She was looking for her friend and hoped that he wouldn't be too far. A drink server walked by as Kara grabbed to glasses of Champaign and swallowed hers down in one drink giving Nat the other one. "I know, I just hate being out at social stuff it's worse then when you and I did Swan Lake adaption in Kazan last year."
Just as she was about to turn around Kara felt arms around her tiny waste, his bare hands feeling the flesh that was exposed. She squealed as she spun around. Her eyes widening. She laughed as her arms wrapped around Brocks neck and she kissed him on the cheek. Pulling away, Kara walked over to her friend. "Brock this is the most beautiful woman to grace the stage." She giggled, Natasha, this is Brock a childhood friend of mine and I'm not even sure who mister tall blond and handsome is." Her cheeks flushed as he looked at her but there seemed something just under the surface that made her want to get to know him or be afraid of him.
"So Brock who is your friend?"
