Vw T6 Tsi 2.0 turbo petrol 204bhp having a new stainless system with sports cat and remote controlled valve so customer can have it quiet or noisy. This one has been heavily and very well modified for its owner who uses a wheelchair. As such has been a challenge to get the exhaust to run correctly and flowing. A beauty of a T6 Tsi 150bhp in for health checkups and tuning. We tuned this one with standard hardware last year, but is has now for our cold air intake system and air box and a sports cat and exhaust system. Made far better power and torque now but it’s got ignition pull on cylinder 3 and 4, so it’s need of a new set of plugs and being run on optimum 99ron fuel also will help. This ones an interesting one. 347bhp van. This ones the Vw T6 tsi which has the 2.0 litre petrol turbo engine and 7 speed dsg gear box. A good customer of ours wanted some mods doing, not the normal exhaust and remap though. These T6 Tsi’s came in 150 and 204bhp and are identical in engine hardware, just ecu down tuned. We made a nice cold air feed intake straight into a air box with a piper cross air filter and then partition the whole lot off from the hot engine bay. This is a vital part do the filter doesn’t draw in hot air from under the bonnet. On the other side, 3 inch (76mm) mandrel bent free flowing exhaust system with a remote control silencer. This give the customer the option to have it normal noise level or a very sporty tone at the press of a switch. Exhaust then exits through the rear body and bumper on the driver side. While it was with us our good friends at Pure Paint in Louth painted and fitted the rear tailgate spoiler, the front lower splitter and gloss blacked the matt plastics in the front bumper. 😎 Onto tuning this beast. Martin at Pendle Performance has put in the hours and hours of software development to optimise these wonderful engine control units, having full knowledge and experience shows with the awesome results.
