Foundation Day 2024

The Governors are excited to announce our first official event, Foundation Day!

What is Foundation Day?

Foundation Day is a celebration of the discovery of the UFIPA's first planet, Texaseyrg. Without Texaseyrg, our civ would have gone nowhere.

The laurels present on the UFIPA's wiki emblem are derived from a flora variety native to Texaseyrg, which influenced the entire colour scheme of our community (white, yellow and gold). The secondary colours (teal and red) are derived from Texaseyrg's sky and grass. The only colours present that were not derived in some way from Texaseyrg's landscape are silver, indigo and violet (present only on the flag, as seen on the wiki) which were taken from the unpainted metal shells and pugneum-blood of the Sentinels our people are known to loathe.

When and where will Foundation Day be held?

The event will start at 00:00am GMT on 27th July, and continue until 00:00am GMT on 28th July. This falls under the third (3rd) Iteration of 2024. If the event goes well, we intend to make it an annual holiday.

The official in-game location of the event will be the Capitol, on planet Ifortc Tau of the Edrovozd system in the Hukosre region, Isdoraijung galaxy, however citizens can celebrate from wherever they may be at the time.

How can I get involved?

Citizens are encouraged to celebrate however they wish, wherever they wish. There will be no official activities overseen or orchestrated by the Governors, however the Capitol will be decorated for the occasion, and the Governors encourage all willing citizens to dress in the civ's parade colours for the day (in whatever combination they like). This may just be a recoloured backpack, or you could dress head to toe in the UFIPA's livery. Travellers who wish to form their own traditions linked to the event may feel free to do so, and help expand our civilisation's growing culture.
