���� Honestly it just further reinforces that they’re never going to actually translate their politics into direct action. Why go door to door or phone bank or do actual community building and outreach or even show up to a protest when it’s effortless to spend your time online gloating about how see through the political machine and therefore are too smart and in the know to ~ waste your time in civic participation.

It fucking pisses me off too because it gives onlookers such a bad impression of radical leftism and keeps the movement isolated and fringe. I know people in real life who are committed anarchists and/or Marxist-Leninists and are actually going out there and doing the hard, thankless community building work. So these other chucklefucks shouldn’t be the most visible ones on social media (in ten years time they’re all going to become apolitical or Republicans anyway) but they always are.
