To Thomas: How do you hide your wings?

I usually spell them discorporeal and then I put an illusion around myself so people can’t see the rainbow markings and the wings! I’ve dealt with hiding them in a bulky jacket though because I messed up a potion and drained myself...

Tell me a little bit about the nightmares, I’d love to know

The nightmares originally didn’t have names, they only called each other based off of the animal they were like for example Lemon was called bird and Strawberry was called fox, though Nightmare named himself. They got names after meeting Thomas because he gave them names, and yes he did give them all fruit themed names besides the freddles though

For Thomas: do you know why you have wings?

It’s my genetics, I’m something akin to a faery, I have magic and that’s kind of genetic but it skips generations a lot(my mom didn’t have it but my grandmother did) but the wings are just there. I can use spells to make them not corporeal or visible but I can’t actually get rid of them which is why if I were to say... jump off a building they would appear on instinct and catch my fall! It can get pretty complicated if you look into it too much though. For the rainbow that just comes with having magic for me(Those I can illusion away though)

On that note: at somepoint Nico found the feathers just around the house not in a jar(Thomas sews so pillows and such) or framed(first feathers lost, feathers from first flight etc) and was understandably confused and Thomas just decided ‘hey let’s mess with Nico’s brain!

So he said a large eagle flew around the house at night sometimes and then Nico wanted proof so one time when he slept over, Thomas got one of the sides to shapeshift into mentioned bird and fly around the house just for the laugh

So I haven’t used watercolors in literal years and I messed up the face shape but I mean... we got Thomas with wings that I used clay to paint, so enjoy!

How do you clean your wings? Like how long does it take?

I usually use something similar to a dog brush with soft bristles instead of points! If I’m feeling dangerous I use some dry shampoo and conditioner on them! It takes an hour-hour and a half. But I don’t have to clean them too much- Preening is more frequent and a bit harder... usually one of the sides helps me with the spots on my wings I can’t reach and preening is more of a priority because the feathers being out of place feels weird and prickly so...

Author totally didn’t get distracted talking about Greece- totally not. Also reminder I don’t know too much about birds! I usually work with marine animals and my vet camp didn’t get to talk about birds because Covid! So some of these answers are improvised

To Thomas: finding out about the wings

I really have no clue... I’m hoping he likes them but I feel like he’ll probably get lost in thought five seconds after seeing them

Can you specify what you mean? About the wings or my ex breaking my arm?
