I cosleep with my little one but I also swaddle them. They hate all the hats they have except the ones from the hospital.

I am not against swaddling - it was just a point to make to highlight the cultural differences in child upbringing.
For exampleI’ve bought the cutest bumper for the bed and I’ve also bought the fluffiest duvet with goose feathers you can imagine. Even though those things are seen as life threatening and almost a reason to call child protective service by some on Tumblr 😂 However I have never gotten a Doppler, because having one is literally being shamed by the media and your social circle here! (It have something to do with the ultrasonic waves heating up the baby’s cell tissue and is not knowing if this could potentially harm the baby if you do it a lot) A bigger supermarket chain actually stopped their sale of dopplers after just a few days because of the shit storm that followed. But everyone and their sister have one here on Tumblr* 😂🤷🏼♀️
I guess this is the difference between being in a multicultural forum vs. a mono(?)cultural one like Facebook groups. You have to be very careful what you tell other people to not practice. Because some of the things you practice yourself is heavily frowned upon by that same person you are judging.
*not against owning a doppler either! Remember I did my own scans at work multiple times.
