You can donate breastmilk and get paid an okay price for it apparently. You need to pump at least 200ml extra every day - they'll provide bags for it and they'll pick it up. I am actually thinking about doing this. You know I am already producing a lot of colostrum - I hope that is a sign I'll be a true cow after birth. Bonus: thinking about donating milk to preterm babies actually makes me feel better about my Lactating "problem" - which I've had a hard time coping with psychological until now.

ALSO I BOUGHT A CHANGING RUCKSACK I originally wanted another model, but we finally settled on the rucksack because that'll work better when we have her in a sling-thingy. It'll match our 'black canvas with cognac leather details' pram perfectly though! It's from a brand called Babymel and it's the 'Robyn' model.

It doesn’t really work like that in Denmark 😔

I have to go to a specific hospital and be interviewed about my lifestyle and have some blood tests done. My milk would be tested too - and the colostrum would be given to premies and later the “not so fat” milk would be given to older babies at the hospital. You have to start donating before 8 weeks postpartum though.

I’m not sure you can just buy ‘breast milk’ anywhere, though I’m not sure it’s illegal either 🤔 I’ve never seen anyone looking for it or selling it.

You are paid 170DKK about $26 for a liter milk AND it’s tax free (mind you, we pay 40% taxes so it’s a big deal). If you sold it 'Willy Nilly’ you’d have to pay taxes though - and I’m not sure how selling something works with paid maternity leave. I also think it would be seen as really weird and it’s a small country.
