From the beaches of Normandy to the fields of Vietnam, this salute is dedicated to the brave men and women who gave everything for our country.

The first US WAAC’s (Women’s Army Auxiliary Corps) arrive in Gourock, Inverclyde, Scotland - 11th May 1943. On the 1st July 1943 it was given active duty status and became the WAC (Women’s Army Corp)

During World War II, the Women's Army Auxiliary Corps (WAAC) 6888th Central Postal Directory Battalion (consisting of solely Black women), delivered mail in the European Theater — a way to keep up morale. These images are from a scrapbook of WAAC ephemera.
