Pillowfort doesn't have reblog chains. You're expected to interact with people in the comment section of a post. This is an adjustment but it brings tons of benefits for site culture, and Staff plans to add a feature similar to reblog chains in the future, called 'featured comments'. Remember to post and share to communities. There's no algorithm and people don't check tags often. Most everyone uses communities and comment sections to follow new people!

But honestly? Having a stable platform that's not throwing unwanted changes at its userbase, is user funded and is against GenAI is just... a nice breath of fresh air. Pillowfort is not Tumblr, but it allows long posts, tags, read mores and if you like comments, they go a long way!

Addition: if you absolutely need tumblr style reblog chains, Wafrn may be right for you. It's basically a skin on top of Bluesky and Mastodon, but it's really well executed and has a great indie team behind it. The tumblr feel is impressively recreated.

I haven't tried out Wafrn cause I have too many places already to keep track of, but if Tumblr is really breaking now, then I might as well try it out if folks are heading there...? (Followers/and the like, feel free to let me know!)

I have a theory that a lot of trans women are being drugged on sites like tumblr and bluesky, because I don't fucking understand the KOG drama or their use of 4chan slurs towards non-binary people… Seriously, those are the only two sites where it's so WTF

Plus the animosity towards other transgender people (transgender men) is just crazy

I don't have a bluesky, but considering that the drama on KOG started there, and I've also heard about transphobia from transgender women towards non-binary people, it shows a very disturbing phenomenon… Just like ableism in the queer and black communities, this issue is fucking ignored

And that one radical feminist who is a trans woman attacked wafrn for blocking her account because she broke fediverse rules (she wrote "I hate men, including trans men"), and many other out-of-touch people joined her… Don't you think you've gone too far and are just ruining trans women's lives and giving shit like TERFs new arguments to attack? Seriously, that's fucked up

You're not fighting oppression, you're aiding and abetting oppression, you've literally been brainwashed into thinking non-binary people aren't transgender enough and you don't treat them as part of your identity (What do LGB tefras do to transgender people), the first victims were non-binary people, you're literally doing to them the same thing queer people do to get rid of transgender people

How are you any different from queer people who want to get rid of transgender people? You're just as hypocritical

I hate how fascism has gotten into the groups that fought against it and is creating this shit that makes other queer people want to kill themselves just for existing because they don't recognize them as part of themselves…
