First Take Points: 5 - rotelle make me SO HAPPY. wait. rotelles? rotellen? rotelle the italian word is already wheels plural, so how do you plural the plural? wheelses. rotelleses. hm. i like it. ok so back to how they make me happy: this is childhood in a bowl. but also, they're a brilliant little pasta shape!! little compartments for cheese and sauce and diced food! the perfect consistency even if you accidentally overcook them a tad!

Remix Bonus Points: 4 - do not sleep on rotelle (also, don't sleep under it, it's wheels). it's flexible, it can go in anything. okay maybe it can't be slurped from opposite ends Lady and the Tramp style, but that the ONLY shortcoming i see.

Amusement Points: 5 - get in the car, we're going streaking! (the car has wheels of rotelle, if that wasn't clear.)

Annoyance Deductions: -1 - okay, i'll remove one point because i don't like my options for plurals.

Judy held the bright red packet out to him, emerald eyes shining brightly against her freckled pale skin, “c’mon!!“ she wheedled, “it’s so good! I didn’t know they had survived!”

Her smile was stretched wide, revealing white teeth so straight that they looked to be from a prewar magazine. Well, she was, in many ways.

He gently lifted a hand, taking the- surprisingly large- ‘wagon wheel’ in his hand. The red was glaring, a miracle that it had survived, “I don’t think that a prewar wagon wheel is a good idea, Minister,” he spoke with regret, since it did seem delectable.

“Oh no! They’re making them where Silvia is- she had a bunch sent with the recent doctors,” Judy giggled, “I don’t want to kill you, Preston!!”

He let out a breath he didn’t even know he was holding, “oh, thank goodness. I know we eat some prewar stuff but I don’t fancy risking something I’ve not seen anyone else eat.”

“God no! I would never,” she dropped her voice to a stage whisper, “besides, I know that a certain someone- you- has a sweet tooth!”

He blushed a bit darker. Being so easy to read was a bit scary with the amount of Minutemen, “well,” Preston mimicked her whisper, “a certain Minister may be correct about that.”

He pulled the red wrapper open, revealing a chocolate disk, just larger than his palm.

Preston lifted it to his mouth, biting into the sweet treat, and almost gasped. It was so sweet and good. Far better than anything he’d had before. A soft layer of chocolate, with sweet marshmallow sandwiched by two crunchy biscuits. It was perfect.

He hastily ate the rest, shocked at how delicious it had been.

“I’m guessing you liked it?” Judy winked at him- well, it was more of a blink, but he wouldn’t tell her that.

“Damn Minister. If they’re eating this back where Silvia is, why would any Doctor come over here?”

“Beats me!” She laughed, and passed him a paper bag.

He opened it. Inside, sat at least ten packets of the same treat, along with some other unrecognisable bar shaped items, “Minis-Judy, you shouldn’t have!”

“I wanted to,” she looked down, nervous, “what is the point in loving if I cannot share it? And you’re the one I wanted to share it with.”

“Well, thank you. I’ll make sure to cook radstag stew tonight, Sanctuary could do with a communal meal.” He smiled at the thought, at the fact that the Minutemen actually had people to feed, and carefully slipped the goodies into his pack.

(To those curious: this is a wagon wheel. Preston has the classic, like the red packets. The jam is from the blue packet ones)
