hear me out. (ignoring the fact that this completely goes against the canon of mario galaxy because you watch the lumas build it..) luigi helped build / designed the starshroom. it just makes sense to me.

he hangs out in the garage right next to it, so maybe its not too far fetched for a headcanon???

anyways, we all need more mechanical engineer luigi in our lives.

Idea: He didn't build it, but he's the one who keeps it maintained.

Either way, the fact that he chooses to hang out in the garage of all places is telling 👀

what tv shows/ movies/ music do you think the bros like?

For Mario, I think he loves both superhero movies and animated shows, all the better if it's an animated superhero show (think OG Justice League or Transformers.) But he is also a huge fan of old Popeye cartoons. He has an extensive DVD collection, and one of his prized possessions is a vintage Popeye lunchbox & thermos Luigi snagged for him at an estate sale.

Luigi loves musicals, but has unexpectedly developed a taste for old, cheesy horror movies.
