I believe the universe is trying to soft launch my government mandated, coming of age, “mixed kid goes on a journey of self discovery as they struggle to figure out where they stand racially” arc, because I have started asking questions about my race that my usual white advisors (my lovely friends whom I adore,) cannot give satisfactory answers to.
