i know it's a popular trope in the fandom for twiyor to have to act lovey dovey for their cover, but I want to see them have to pretend they're fighting/having marital disputes

like they have to convince people that there is a rift between them for [insert really good logical reason] but. They suck at it. They are not convincing at all. They see their neighbors and decide to cause a scene arguing so that the neighbors know the forger couple is on thin ice, but it sounds like "You don't do enough!" "Enough what?" "Enough... uh... resting! You keep working even when I tell you not to!" "Oh yeah?! Well you don't rest enough either! You should rest more too!" which just makes everyone think the forgers are passionately concerned about the other. It has the inverse effect, and convinces everyone that they're in love more than when they actually try to do that with PDA (like handholding, the most lewd PDA of all)
