I love that after the ICONIC “tragical romance and all?” “Remains to be seen” moment Anne and Gilbert stay there as it fades away I’m dying to know what else they talked about I’m still not over the fact that that was the last shot of season 2! If that doesn’t foreshadow much more scenes of them in season 3 I don’t know what else does
Another thing, I just think it’s crazy that people thought there wasn’t enough shirbert! Like it was all there THEY WROTE LETTERS TO EACH OTHER GILBERT WAS IN TRINADAD YET THEY STILL TALKED ABOUT EACH OTHER
just a speculation did you realize that no one has ever said explicitly to Anne’s face “why do you say about yourself your beautiful “ I think they are saving that for Gilbert to say to her I predict a scene that he hears her talking bad about herself and him just looking confused like WHAAAT SHES GORGEOUS
Also when Gilbert and Marilla where talking in episode 8 on the train he brings up Anne a total of three times!! 1. “ that’s pretty that must be from Anne” 2. “I guess Anne didn’t tell you but I’m looking to pursue a career in medicine” 3. “Anne Shirley Cuthbert is a PASSIONITE individual alright”
Gilbert first denies his feelings in the first place but I think comes to terms with how he feels when he sees Anne again in episode 6 and realizes he wants her one day and he knows that he’ll have to wait and I think he’s fine with that because he doesn’t want this to be a silly school fling he wants her to be his as Anne would say his lifemate
