Cannot stop thinking about the idea of Qimir's name being similar to Imri (Vernestra's first Padawan) because she named him. So imagine Qimir is abandoned as a baby and either found by or brought to Vernestra. She can tell he's Force sensitive and so she takes him back to the Temple and it's left to her to give him a name. So years later when she "throws him away" aka tries to kill him, Qimir truly is losing everything - including his name. Hence, "I have no name" in episode 5 - which now becomes a literal truth. By losing Vernestra, who would be a mother figure to him (even more so than Sol being a father figure to Osha), he becomes the Stranger.
