Why is it that sometimes it takes gazing at the farthest object we can really see, to be able to view something that is actually within us?
The moon is like a blank canvas on which you can view your feelings. Think of the moon as described by countless poetic souls; when really it is just a grey rock illuminated against Infinity. And yet it is described through the ages in abstract and creative language which; if you think about it, really only describes the describer. A silent rock of reflective light, reflecting the feelings of the watcher like a mirror to the soul. A long-distance reflector that reveals something so close to you, it's impossible to see with the naked eye. The farthest thing describing the closest thing.
