Living in the south you never got much snow but the few time it did snow it threw the whole of Georgia into chaos. Living through the first winter with the group was the first time in a long time you thought about the first time you show it snow. The world was normal then, and you didn’t have a care in the world.

It had been getting colder in Alexandria which seemed to have some effect on the walkers. Everyone was wrapped up in scarfs, jackets, gloves, and a lot of layers. I sat in the house to shared with Rick and his family reading a book by the window the coolness of the window offset the warmth of the house. Carl was sitting on the couch reading a new comic and Judith was playing with some toys that one of the older lady of the town made for her. For one of the first time in a long time, I felt safe, loved, and needed. As I looked outside, I saw something fall on the porch railing. I ran everything through my head of what it could be, ‘Ash? No, it's not dark. Rain? I don't sound like its rain. It's not hail’. Then more fell and more. Snow it was snow, soon a child-like giggle left you making Carl look up at you. “Hey Y/N. What's up?” Carl asked kind worried. “It's snowing Carl. Go get dress and I will get Judy dressed.” When Carl heard snow, he rushed over to the window to see the white dots fall from the sky and started to cover the ground. Carl grinned as he made a beeline for his winter gear. I smiled and got myself dressed and dressed up Judith. As we walked outside a bunch of people were out laughing and play in the fresh snow. Maggie was out with Glenn throwing snowballs at each other, soon Tara was dragged in to be on Glenn’s team, and Daryl joined in on Maggie. Eugene and Rosita were out as Rosita stuck her tongue trying to catch a snowflake as Eugene talk about how a snowflake were formed and why it snows where it does. Judith giggled as a snowflake landed on her nose. “Looks like Jack Frost is nipping at your nose baby girl.” I said to Judith as Carl ran over to where the snowball fight was going on and threw a snowball at Daryl. I smiled as I watched the town play and smile in the snow. Judith was giggling and smiling, as snowflakes kissed her nose and cheeks. I didn’t notice the sound of footsteps behind me before it was too late and there was snow on my head. As I turned, I saw Rick grinning and then took off. “Rick Grimes I will hurt you!” I saw as Michonne laughing and quickly handed Judith to her. Once Judith was out of my hands I quickly chased after the sheriff with a hand full of snow in my hand.

At the end of the day everyone's was tired, but for the first time they were tired by fun not running from walkers or dangerous. Everyone had made memories, and the town seems to grown close because of this snow and in this world that meant everything.
