I saw this today on Facebook, it’s taken from chronicallyinvisible’s tumblr if you want to go check out her page. But never have I seen something so relatable. Disability and chronic illness isn’t as black and white as it is made out to be. Not everyone who uses a wheelchair is paralysed and shouldn’t have to feel afraid to go out in their wheelchair because of the judgement of those who don’t understand that ambulatory wheelchair users exist! And same with all other mobility aids, I use a walking stick, it doesn’t mean if I don’t use it I will just fall over or stumble constantly it means that I won’t be able to walk as far for as long, it means I won’t be able to do anything at all the next day. It keeps me going. So please before you judge, research! Not all disabilities and chronic illnesses are visible, so if you see a person using a disabled parking space without a wheelchair or mobility aid, please don’t presume they don’t need that parking space. Just be kind, be more considerate, be less presumptuous. We can all keep doing better 🧡🙌🏻✨ #chronicillnesswarrior #mobilityaid #ambulatorywheelchairusersexist #walkingstickuser #fibromyalgia #chronicpain #chronicallyinvisible #cfs #chronicfatigue #invisibleillness #invisibleillnessawareness https://www.instagram.com/p/BqCi3AQncB0/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=9mpkhu2bn5x4
