My favorite cycle is something older than my own tenure as a Magic player: Stronghold's Wall cycle. Wall of Essence gives you life when it takes damage. Wall of Tears bounces a creature it blocks. Wall of Souls makes an opponent take damage when it does. Wall of Razors isn't fancy schmancy like its bretheren but it's a 4/1 wall with First Strike. And Wall of Blossoms needs no introduction, because card drawing on ETB is a thing... so well known and used that it made its way into From The Vault: Twenty.
