!!! does the combine sever people's daemons in your au? the soldiers but also just in general? does the suppression field have something to do with dust? im SO interested in this au holy shit

AAAAAAAA IM SO HAPPY SOMEONE IS ASKING ME ABOUT IT I’M GOING TO CRY DUDE Yes! The Combine DO have the power to sever people’s daemon- something Breen himself went through (though his daemon is sort of being held semi-hostage in case Breen does a bad)

As for the CP, whether or not they get their daemons severed is a choice, though most of them decide to go through it to “eliminate weakness” or something. Meanwhile, citizens kind of pull a Secret Commonwealth and. well, can sort of sacrifice their daemons for more to eat or other stuff that the Combine is an asshole about. 

As for the supression field having an effect on Dust, I actually haven’t even CONSIDERED that :O That’s absolutely galaxy brained and I’m going to have to think about it. It’s still something I’m working on so sorry if I’m not being very clear but yeah! But if you have ideas or want to like. just talk about the au, my dms are open!!! I love this AU I can’t wait to make it official!!!
