Drawn in the style of Walt Kelly's POGO. I inked this last year, but have only just recently colored it, so I figured it was worth a share while I’m still working on the new strips for January! This one may have been the overall hardest of these to do. Not only was Kelly's linework fundamentially flawless, organic and smooth in a way that is NOT really how I work, but POGO didn't feature actual humans. So adapting that style to Heidi and I was extra tricky. On top of that, I'm not a great painter, digital or traditional, so trying to match his lush watercolor approach in Clip Studio was well beyond my own anemic skills, to be sure. But in spite of all that complaining, I am really happy with how this came out.
