If you sit down and read one of these books, you just might get the bug to jump in the car and drive in all of Patagonia places.The first book you should read is Travels with Charley by John Steinbeck's immortal. This story follows Steinbeck after he decided to take a trip around the perimeter of the country in his truck and with his trusty right arm of a dog, Charley. This is after it became known as one of the best authors ever. His story leads him to all the outside-the-way places that most tourists would never have thought to stop and see. He hangs out with truck drivers, old-fashioned diners to eat, and also helps a few fellow travelers along the road. It digs deep into the invisible life of people living in different parts of the country and his experience in capturing this is what makes Travels with Charley, as a masterpiece. This book is a good read for anyone looking to spend time alone on the road. You will get good advice and lots of ideas.Another solitary adventure can be found in Paul Theroux's The Old Patagonian Express. This is a must-read for anyone who wants to push the limits of your travel experience. It follows Theroux as he boards a train in Boston and at end of Patagonia in Argentina months later. His story takes him through the Americas and chronicles every stop along the route. He makes a point to visit all the villages along the route of the railway, except for Nicaragua, which was in a state of agitation. Alan Weisbecker leaves Long Island in a desperate quest to find his long lost best friend in the depths of the rainforest of Costa Rica on its way through Central America as a vehicle for all uses on the road, stops at a large number of surf spots and the catches are so phenomenal. He is approached by bandits in the bush, it is almost caught in a revolution in El Salvador, and finds his friend deep in the throes of addiction. This book should be read by anyone trying to head on a surf trip, as did his descriptions and details of many of the places he visits along the surf way.With graduation comes a lot of decisions. If you decide to delay for one year before going to school or in the real world, read these three books to get some motivation to travel and see the world. If you can not be convinced by these authors, that perhaps the road is not for you.

Once you have landed in Lima, you need to reach Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Inca Empire. The distance between these cities draw more 700 miles. You can fly from Lima, or take the bus for a long hard journey. When you reach Cusco, you have to make another journey to reach Aguas Calientes, which is the nearest town to Machu Picchu. Machu Picchu, the famous ruins are just a few miles from Aguas Calientes. You can walk or take a bus to get there. Let us now discuss the whole thing in a more elaborate way. Lima to Cusco Most people reach Lima by an international flight. If you reach Lima with plenty of time, surely you can stay there a night or two, and move around the city. Many cases, people reach Peru with a budget of 4 / 5 days. In these cases, you should fix your flight so you will get there in the morning. Most of the popular flight arrives early morning in Lima airport. So you can take another flight from Lima to Cusco in a few hours. They have 3 / 4 good airline in Peru, and some of them offer flights every few hours from Lima. But you should not buy tickets from the airport, rather when you buy an international ticket, making the connecting flight to Cusco on the same morning. If you can pass some time there, you will enjoy the city. But if you're in a hurry, then take the afternoon train from Cusco to reach Aguas Calientes. The train ride is scenic and even if you have to sit more than three hours inside the train (the distance is 70 miles), you will find it an enjoyable experience. There are plenty of hotels in Aguas Calientes to sleep in. If you are in a busy season, so I recommend you to book a room long before you get there. Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu, you can wake up very early in the morning to take the bus to reach Machu Picchu ruins. It is less than two miles, and you need around twenty minutes to reach the ruins. Aguas Calientes is a very small town. They have only buses for transportation. you can cover the city on foot. They have two bus stations in town, one in the center of the city, very near where the train stops, the other is at the end of cities, to Machu Picchu. Catch the bus from Aguas Calientes is easy, ticket counter at the bus stations, and bus leaves the city of Machu Picchu ruins in a small range. So take a bus, enjoy the little 20-minute journey, reaching Machu Picchu and enjoy the amazing Machu Picchu.
