Adventure Guide to the Islands of the Bahamas, and Turks & Caicos
At the end of September my boyfriend and I are in the Bahamas for the first ever international tropical vacation. We had already planned the route, and the hotel booked. A week in paradise, turquoise waters, white sand ... still sounds as wonderful as the hotel / see the info we gathered, we still wanted to know more about the island. Read many travel guides, books, and we came relatively the same information in a book later. Picking up a copy of Adventure Guide to The Islands of The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and we wondered if it would function just the same information, only written in a different style. The book contains 576 pages, all mostly very little text and photos / drawings. This was not a problem because we wanted above information, more photos would have been nice, but it was not really necessary. The Adventure Guide to The Islands of the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos Islands in the Bahamas numerous features, and these professionals are chapters with information on Grand Bahama, Freeport, Eleuthera, Bimini, Andros, Nassau, the Exumas, San Salvador, Cat Island, Long Island, the Inaguas, the Acklins Island and Berry. Seeing as Grand Bahama was our destination, I jumped right in front of that particular chapter to see that the content had to offer. The excursions that we had already read in other guides has been included, dining, hotels, dive sites, dive sites, boat trips, where to rent gear water, wave guides, masks, dive equipment, and so on has also been included. Everything has been pretty useful, and although most of the information was already known to us from other books, Adventure Guide to The Islands of The Bahamas, Turks & Caicos and offered some insightful suggestions that the Bahamas had no other guide. One thing in particular was that it could take boats to the islands vacant. Other books in this, but do not enter these details on how to get useful as jumps aboard boats mail carrier! We would have never known this without reading this book, so it was a very cool tip, and very helpful. In addition to reporting all trips and things to do, the guide also gave ratings to the hotel which was comforting to know that the hotel we chose was a top pick. Yippie! However with that said, I did see through the other islands that the guide mentions, and those chapters have been so helpful and insightful as the chapter with Grand Bahama. The book seriously, do not miss a beat, and indeed there are useful tips that no other guide mentions, then it is my belief that Adventure Guide to The Islands of the Bahamas and Turks & Caicos is a must read book if you plan to go to any of the islands mentioned above. Where to find Adventure Guide to The Islands of the Bahamas, and Turks & Caicos? I took a copy to my local library. For those who want the actual book you can really pick you up at Border's or online at the Border, by clicking here.
