also douchenipple i can remember whether or not you were here 40mins ago eating food. believe it or not but we recognize you.

we have people who try to get free add-ons to their meals, usually coming up to us afterwards and being like "where's my treat?" etc

what we do is we read your order back to you to make sure we get it 100% correct. i even clarify with you what meal you're getting and "this combo, not that one, right?" and they always say yes and agree with me

and then come up afterwards demanding free food because they didn't get part of their order because they apparently got another combo and when we tell them they got a different combo (because, shockingly, our cashes keep track of them) they argue that they didn't

anyone who goes on a 12 minute rant about not getting two fucking candles, all while calling the DM to get a good employee fired, needs to be hit in the face with karma. this is why aliens fly past our planet.

like she went out of her way to contact you and try to get the merch to you from a different location even though it turned out that she didn't have it like???? i've had similar situations happen before and although life sucks when you don't get what you want, i've been super grateful that they made me a priority and tried to get my wants met.

you know what here's a little story about something that happened yesterday at work

this woman came in and wanted to buy 3 medium sundaes, which, hey, no problemo, i made them all. i measured them all before adding toppings and they were all a little bit over the weight limit that we're supposed to make. with the toppings, they surpassed the allotted weight for it by like half an ounce. which is not exactly supposed to be happening, but it's a small difference, boss nor managers really care about the little nitty gritty, as long as it's within reason.

so this customer, after i handed her her sundaes, starts flipping her shit that they are too small, that they're in no way mediums, that she gets them all the time and they're always so much bigger than that, yadda yadda yadda.

i told her that they're actually a bit overweight, and she was arguing with me that no, they are not, there's no way they're overweight, even though i measured them all pre and post toppings, and kept getting louder and louder. my manager was on break, so one of my coworkers (who's one of my friends, i've known him for years) played the role of manager, and remade the sundaes for her.

he ended up giving her a bit more than the weights for a large sundae in medium cups, and she was still not very pleased but deemed them "acceptable".

she walked away and out of the store and my friend said, very loudly in a half-full restaurant, "oh my god what an evil bitch". and a couple of the customers, those who heard, nodded at us, one even laughed. it was terribly unprofessional of him, but oh my god she was awful.

there's no way in hell she ever gets anything like what he gave her. no way in hell. and i'm super lucky that the place where i work allows for compensations like that - depending on who's there, of course. had the manager not been on break, he probably would have remade them just a smidge bigger if he remade them, not the massive sundaes my friend made her. but, well, pick your battles. either have a screaming customer, or give her the bigger sundaes.

there's no way i could have done what he did. not a chance in hell. and not because i don't want to - i'm not allowed. so yeah, i would have seriously been yelled at, and since i'm still on probation, could have been fired.

the rules for retail have got to be much stricter - you can't just give them shit for free. nope, no way.

When I was in school, it went right to the end of June. Most of of the time. The experimented with ending it mid-June but that meant it had to start mid-August, and it didn’t work well.

Yuck. We run from the last week of Aug until the last week of May.

International Falls, Minnesota. Problem is, the airport is tiny and my husband and I do not drive, so we're stuck with it. My cousin is getting married and I'd love to be there as we plan on going to the US around then anyway. But Our main trip will be San Francisco, so it's not exactly easy to combine.

Cheap? Go with Southwest. But you get what you pay for. Balance of cost with quality? I’d go Delta (my preferred when I have the money to choose) or United.

Good to know. Looks like it'll be sort of a pain of finding anything, now I research it further, sadly :/
