thhe problem with being a multishipper is that i want all of my ships to be in the same work at once in a polycule except thats so statistically unlikely that out of 58k fics theres like 5 that qualify, but 3 are unfinished, 2 of those are 1k words combined, 1 is a crossover in a fandom im not from, and the last is formatted extremely poorly. i read all of them.

this is an increasing problem that directly equates to the number of people in the polycule.

i am now projecting my polycule onto every other fic i read.

Equilateral (Part 1)

Summary:

Mo Xuanyu enacts the Soul Sacrifice ritual and succeeds.

Partially.

Wei Wuxian has been resurrected, as was intended, but Mo Xuanyu is...also still there?

Now they're sharing a body, or at least trading off on using it, and it's pretty clear that something suspicious is going on. Hopefully, with both of them on the case, they can figure out what's happening without too many deaths, and then once that's done maybe Lan Wangji will help them get unstuck from each other. If, that is, they decide that's something they really want.

modern!wwx once tried to convince an entire biology department that chickens do not, in fact, exist. he put evidence on the table, stating that -since none of them cityfolks had ever ventured outside of town- they could have not possibly seen a chicken in the flesh. the university students countered that they eat fried chicken on the regular, but he retorted asking them if they were sure that had been chicken in the first place. mo xuanyu may or may not have been the only one at the department backing up his theory by slowly luring the students down a dark rabbit hole of skepticism and eternal questioning until they had to accept the fact that colors weren’t real, taste was subjective, objects could be dissected into smaller ones, and that they were all probably living in a simulation. mo xuanyu shouldn’t even have been there in the first place. he’s a philosophy major. wwx may be in love with him. his husband lwj approves. the camper where they live in is crowded with egg-laying chickens.
