𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐓? is the truth of the matter complicated? verso doesn’t think so. COMPLICATED is a situation with more to it than DEAD THING and BLOOD ON THE GROUND. complicated demands a little more nuance, doesn’t it? maybe his understanding of it is off. maybe he should ask the insane person about the moral complexities of their situation instead of doing exactly what he always does when faced with blood splatters and suspicious deaths of livestock.
the stench of ozone forms a shawl around him, rich and forceful; it’s the sort of intrusive smell that forces its way up your nose and down your throat with little regard for anything other than filling your lungs. it’s a warning sign that, frankly, verso constantly debates the worth of. after all, what’s a strong smell to a MONSTER?
the son of zeus cants his head to the side like a curious animal, his grip on his blade halfhearted and uncommitted. for as little as he believes them, one of his father’s domain is justice, and he’s sure the old man will rip him a new one for not hearing someone out (hypocrite that zeus is). beyond that… now that there’s a question in the air of innocence and complications, he can’t just OFF SOMEONE and move on. for one, it’d be (maybe) murder. for two, eh. he would like to sleep with a (mostly) clear conscience tonight.
he takes a deep breath, then sighs. his shoulders slump, and he slides his xiphos back into its holster on his hip.
❝ alright then, ENLIGHTEN ME. are you or are you NOT the reason there’s blood on the ground right now, lady ?? ❞
