WRITERS AWARD

(THIS EVENT NEEDS THE HELP OF EVERYONE! PLEASE REBLOG, SO IT SPREADS AROUND TO EVERYONE!)

ABOUT:

Writers Award is an event, where we as a whole community take the time to recognize several individuals for their unique story-line or the time and effort they had put into different areas of our community. IC&OOC.

HOW THINGS WILL WORK:

(There is no way that me and my assistants can decide on who to give the awards to...So we are asking for your help right now and here is how things will work for us all.)

1. A list of interesting titles will be posted soon on our page. (Example Titles: Most Desirable Male/Female Character, King Of Evil, Joker Of Jokes and etc.)

2. For each title, we are asking for at least 8 Nominees. (Nominees names can be sent to us in an ask formation or submission.)

3. The list of titles would be posted again, but this time with 8 or more names. (If you see your name in this phase and do not wish to take part of the awards. Please message the library or me.)

4. FINAL ONLINE POLL

5. It’s only when we get all of the results for each and every title. The date and time for the main event would be released to the public.

WHY:

It’s my deepest pain to admit...that our RP community is no longer growing but shrinking. With amazing writers leaving every week without a hint of regret because they believe the time they had put into our community was meaningless, or the downright depressing fact of no one ever noticing them...even when they are gone.

So this event isn’t a popularity contest, but a way to show the writers still working hard in the community, that we enjoy every one of them and we are grateful for their amazing works. It’s a THANK YOU event.

REQUEST:

Wanting to open up this event to the Alliance side of the community as well. I am still seeking for a Alliance partnership, and if anyone has the desire or the time to help us out...my planning team welcomes you with open arms because we still need the following;

WRITERS FAIR *CHANGES*

INTRODUCTION

Greetings everyone, this is the <Edit Team> of the Silvermoon Library, and we are pleased to inform you all. That some significant changes to our upcoming event have already been made, base on the concerns we got yesterday from the whole community.

CHANGES

NAME: <Writers Awards> to <Writers Fair>

ABOUT: Writers Fair is an event, where we as a whole community take the time to recognize each other for their hard work or the time and effort they had put into different areas of our community. IC&OOC.

HOW THINGS WILL WORK *Important Changes*

1. A list of interesting titles will be posted soon on our page. (Example Titles: Most Desirable Male/Female Character, King Of Evil, Joker Of Jokes and etc.) with a short description describing it.

2. For each title, we are asking for as many nominees as possible until the stated deadline. (Nominee’s names are to be submitted to us with a piece of personal writing, best showcasing the title we listed. Everyone is welcome to send in their own work as well.)

3. The list of titles would be posted again, but this time with only links to the writing pieces, that were submitted to us. (The name of the author would be removed from the article with its title.)

4. Everyone who wishes to partake in the event would be asked to read the writing pieces on the second list. To then pick out what they believe is the highlight article of each title without knowing who the author is. (The articles would be labeled with numbers.)

5. With the results in, the date and time for the event would be posted.

BASIC RULES

1.To avoid the leak of names, we would be asking the submitter&author to remain quiet towards their own writing piece, and if an article’s name is leaked into the public...we would be removing it from the voting.

2. You are allowed to submit more than one name/pieces for as many titles as you desire, but a link to their work must always be provided.

3. If you see your work on the list but do not wish to partake in the event. Please do not voice it out loud but message the library by Tumblr, Twitter or our email. We shall remove it for you.

CONCERNS

As much as we appreciate the ones who voiced out their concerns, we are now begging for you to message us privately if you have more concerns...because negativity spreads fast like wildfire and positivity piles up slowly like falling snow.

This event...really wasn't purposely made to spread negativity throughout the community by wanting to award just one group of people or to hurt anyone’s feelings.

But...we are still deeply sorry and would be providing ways for anyone in the community to join our planning team for our future events to avoid the drama we caused this week.

And lastly, if you have any more questions about the event, the Library would be hosting a Q&A on Tumblr/Twitter very soon, but if it's critical... like the offer of an Alliance Partnership, please message @draenis as soon as possible.
