He didn’t even know why he started inviting the hunter into his apartment to hang out. Come to think of it, he couldn’t remember giving Andreas his address either. But every now and then the smaller showed up showed up to eat all the chips out of his pantry, complain about the furniture and the few television stations Herschel bothered to pay for, and then half sit in the titan’s lap.
He’d long given up trying to get Andreas to understand the concept of personal space, especially since the Hunter seemed to always move more into when reminded. This was not helping with Herschel’s budding realization of “oh no he’s hot.” Which led him to the current position of pretending to try to read in his tablet and an arm awkwardly hovering, unsure if he should put it around the shoulder of the other awoken snuggled up next to him on the phone or on the back of the couch or–stars, why was just thinking about it making him sweaty?
A small shift from the other roused Herschel from his confused haze of thoughts. It wasn’t exactly getting comfy shifting, more like he was moving to face the other man. “Hm?” A hummed response as he turned from what was probably his third pass at a passage about treating snake bites.
Then there was a small hand on his cheek, seeming to guide his face. He was about to open his mouth to say something, but was cut off by Andreas’s lips on his. There was a surprised jolt at the contact and soon his mind was racing. What was he supposed to do? Just pressing or was there moving about? And with his mouth partially open, what was his tongue supposed to do?
And then just as quickly as he had moved in, Andreas pulled away. Herschel felt the need to say something but he didn’t trust his voice to say anything that wasn’t strangely high pitched and incomprehensible. So he did the only thing he could think of and returned the kiss. It had been very nice, after all.
Andreas barely has to wait another few seconds before Herschel moves in to kiss him again, this time with a little more thought behind it. Andreas caught him off guard most likely, and by the returned kiss, he's guessing he enjoyed it too. The Hunter continues what he started, adding a couple extra small, gentle kisses before pulling away with a smile. Soft lips, that's a change from the usual. "You seem surprised. Did I startle you?"
Strange to think how they met.. trying to steal from him, which escalated into throwing a fit and.. god he's a mess at all times. But come to think of it, it's actually pretty standard at this point. "Have to keep you around somehow though." He leans in closer, wishing Hershel's hands would find their way onto his body.
Moving his fingers down the Titan's cheek, he stops at one of the piercings. Makes a little circle around it with his fingertip, then laughs. "You still owe me a compliment, you know." Gaze flicks up to look into Herschel's eyes, almost threatening. "Maybe then I'll even let you kiss me a little more."
