im rly hoping theres an option to alter his appearance bc then at least i could make him look like my little brother and id feel more of a connection with him

I feel the exact same way about the CC change - when I played SR2 I made my boss look like me, which i normally never do, because for the first time ever I could actually have a PC with my body type! She could be fat and it didn't change the game one bit, I was so happy. Bur having to play with a stereotypically sexy hourglass body in SR3, where increasing the fat in CC only increased bust size... that took a ton of my enjoyment out of the game.

i know! man that sucks so much. i mean the first time i tried to make cherry in sr3 it....didn’t go well. i started off with the latino male preset and just! i couldn’t do anything! i was stuck with the one triangle torso body shape and a weirdly flat butt. i eventually managed to get i think as close as i can by working off the black female preset, but it’s still. they still look really curvy and them having boobs is??? really weird. even on the lowest setting. i almost feel like i’m having dysphoria on their behalf. also the clothes aren’t as genderless :( before they really just looked like real clothing, that are shaped around the body they’re on. but now all the clothes are more like. sculpted body pieces. the shirts all loko like they’re supposed to be stretched over giant breasts but there aren’t giant breasts.

For what it's worth, I'm def. not jumping ship either. I like FO and TES but my BioWare OCs will always be closest to my heart. And I love your OCs, esp. Rota and Judy, so yeah, I'm not going anywhere.

...But that two people mentioned Rota and Judy tells me I need to stop neglecting my Wardens. Hmm, strange... I think maybe it’s the voice thing; some people prefer to have a silent one, but I think the voice helps me... that and... canon-wise, the love thing didn’t... work out as well.

fyi you don't have to play in first person in fallout! it's the same way as skyrim. also while I will be in fallout hell in november, I'll always be up to talk about DA with you, and your great OCs ofc :3

Oh? All right, then. I won’t rule it out, although... now there’s the feeling I might be looked down upon for starting from 4. We’ll see, I guess.

i love carver so fucking much cause he reminds me of my little brother. honestly I want to do a playthrough with a diff non-mage hawke but I can't cause i love carver too much (not that I don't love bethany tho I'm just used to carver)

I knowwww! usually I don't usually play a mage in DA2 so I feel the same way about Bethany. It's hard to not have her around (and watching her die was like THE WORST THING THAT COULD EVER HAPPEN UGHSDLAKGFJDS) but I'm looking forward to seeing the dynamic between this Hawke and Carver.

Shep can earn up to 999,999,999 credits in ME1 (I managed this twice!) and I always wondered what happened to that money after Shep died? Did they have a will, someone to leave it to? Did the alliance or the council appropriate it?

I asked myself the same question and I have no idea. A spacer could probably leave the money to their mother? That leads me to wonder if Shepard had time to make a new will before they died. Is it easier to make a will when you’re on a military spaceship, like is there a quick procedure for that?

Oh ok that makes a bit more sense! Although if the brain in shep's body is the same as the original then the mannerisms shouldn't change too much after shep comes back to life, even with mods. But it wouldn't surprise me if they modded the brain too.

Ah yes, good point! Yeah, they probably changed that as well. It’s mostly an idea though. It makes sense for me but it isn’t canon. Like the way they speak. Our ability to hear and speak is shaped in development. We are able to hear less variation as our body settles. I mean, correct me if I'm wrong. My friend isn't capable of speaking French. Supposing that my consciousness is suddenly transferred in her body, would I able to speak French like I do in my own body? 

It made me wonder about Shepard, and that's just an idea. Is it possible that with all the cybernetic and body modifications Shepard is capable to hear more variation after Project Lazarus? It would be the opposite of losing mannerisms. What if Shepard wasn't able to hear or speak other alien languages before and is now able to do it? When I say speak, I mean saying the words out loud, now using the right vocabulary. They could realize that at some point when their translator isn't working.

Muscle memory isn't stored in the muscles, it's stored in the brain but affects the muscles. So shep's body modifications wouldn't effect muscle memory unless the motor memory areas of shep' s brain were damaged or modified by cerberus.

Oh, I didn’t think the muscle memory had to do with body modifications. I talked about the modifications to explain why I view the body as new. Shepard being dead and coming back in a new body might reset mannerisms. The muscle memory part is what led me to think about it. That’s why I talked about being trapped in another body at the beginning. Sorry!  I should have been more clear.
