HEADCANONS + JASPER

♕ edythe was hesitant around jasper for the longest time. she’d spent so long hating herself and cursing her existence. she didn’t know what to think when he made her feel content with herself. 

♕ she once bought him a cowboy hat made of denim and super bedazzled because she thought it would horrify alice. 

♕ her ringtone for him is someone going ‘yeehaw!’ 

♕ once she’s comfortable around him, she follows him around because she’s almost addicted to the way he can manipulate emotion.

   “I’m sorry for putting Alice in danger. It was never my intention.”

   Edward felt as if he had so many apologies to make to his family. His mother and father, for frightening them so, Rosalie for talking to her the way he had, Emmett for a similar reason. Alice had her compensation planned -- his order of the Porsche was already placed. But he knew how protective Jasper was of his wife, how he worried about her. He did the same with Bella.

   “And for making you suffer with me for those months. Is there anything I can do to make it up to you?” he asked softly.

to an extent it can be said that peter hated jasper when he first met him.   now personally , i don’t believe that jasper created peter, i believe that maria did  ( and the peter in my head agrees with me here very strongly ).  now peter hated jasper because of how he used his gift to obtain control over the newborns.  now peter well knows that had jasper not done so, it would have been chaos- but at the same time he knows that had it not been for jasper, majority of those newborns could have escaped and either adapted to the change themselves, or at least had a fighting chance at surviving more than a year if another vampire didnt kill them.   to be honest peter just hated the whole newborn war things in general ( but he did love to fight ).  

it was only around the end of his first year that peter became aware of his gift ( if ya can call it that, which he does- but he also never tells anybody about it, he’s always just been a smart and instinctive fucker ).  it was around this time that he realised that jasper was, in some ways, just as stuck as the rest of them, the difference being that he wasnt killed at the end of his first year.   so about six months in, peter stopped just getting by and actually started putting effort in.  this led to jasper, and by extension maria allowing him to survive past his year mark.  

now there were times pete was jealous about jasper’s pathokinesis and that was when jasper could scare a newborn off before they grabbed him, whereas peter just had to fight off the attacks far more than jasper did. 

peter knew jasper was struggling feeding from humans during their nomad years, so he started to leave the more drunk humans behind for jasper in the hopes that their emotions would be more muffled due to their intoxication. 

peter knew jasper would be leaving charlotte and him at some point, but it still broke his heart when jasper actually left, though as soon as he knew it was going to be that cafe that jasper met alice in, he took off along with charlotte so that their emotions didnt cause jasper to change his mind or make him feel conflicted. 

over the years, peter doesn’t see jasper as much as he wants to, not wanting to get in the way or intrude into a family where all he feels is unwelcome due to his dietary choices. he once tried a bunny to see how jasper could put up with it, and it made him feel sick for about a week, if not longer. 

peter was all too happy to help and offer advice when jasper called him during eclipse, and peter even, because he wasnt busy, trecked all the way up to  washington state to be nearby in case things went to shit and jasper needed backup.  charlotte accompanied him as well and was also there for backup

despite the above point, peter was kind of pissed to be dragged into something against the volturi during breaking dawn- the only reason he rocked up being because jasper was there. 

in all sense of the word, peter sees jasper as his brother,  and would do pretty much anything for him.

                  SKIN OF PAPER , BONES OF STEAL ; her body is fragile but stubbornness is in everything that she does. a ghost of her form is curled up on the couch , the quilt her mother made draped over. it’s now more of a comfort because she’s always cold. the only warmth that remains is in her gaze as it’s downcast , fixated on her swollen stomach. 

              despite never being alone , it’s a private moment between mother and child. head is bowed in consideration. i love you. she knows the risk she’s taking ; knows that there is a possibility that she won’t survive this and that her plan won’t work. but the idea of ending this life before it’s even become , it makes her sick ; it’s selfish ! what kind of person would she be if she didn’t allow this tiny , innocent creature to experience loving his father , his grandparents , aunts & uncles. 

            arms wrap around her mid-section over the blanket. it’s an intentional move to hide her body from tensing at the pain that surges through her. she’s dying. weight withering away as the body grows & grows. she’s covered in bruises , body made more of bones and skin. 

              when she feels that she can speak ; when the surge of pain passes ( a foot in her rib maybe? ) , hickery eyes lift , focus on jasper. “ jasper , can you -- can you hand me that water? ” the idea makes her sick but she knows she has to. has to keep drinking & eating to keep her providing the baby with nutrients.  // @wargrit

             There were many things she regretted in her life, currently the one that bothered the most was the fact that Jasper and her weren't quite as close as Esme would have liked them to be. Now, she was very aware of the fact everyone had boundaries and had limits to how fast they got closer to people - but it was so hard for her to contain herself. She had loved him from the moment he arrived, had yearned to give him all the love and guidance only a motherly figure could but was unable to.

             Which was why she was so surprised when he decided to join her as she read. Esme was studying up on her Korean - she had no use for it now that they were staying in America, but she did not wish to forget the only thing that really reminded her of her mother and her grandparents. As she read, the petite vampire was aware of her son softly playing his guitar. Ever since she was a little girl Esme had wanted to learn to play a musical instrument, but her mother had judged it to be improper - thus only allowing Esme to take singing lessons and dancing lessons, which she enjoyed but craved more nonetheless.

           After marrying however, she hadn't had the opportunity to do it. Well, after her marriage she hadn't been able to do anything really. ❝ Jasper... ❞ she called him, melodious voice even softer than normal to avoid startling him. ❝ Have you always played the guitar? ❞ Esme asked him shyly, not really sure if she was allowed to ask about his life in general.

                  ❝ Or was it something you've learnt after turning? ❞
