Jongin could only watch as the two collided, the creature on top getting cleaved in half while the one on the bottom rolled away.

He jerked backwards when the body of the second creature hurtled towards him. It was clear that the creature couldn’t see him, not with his reiatsu hidden, but that didn’t stop his control from slipping. Trickles of his reiatsu flooded out of him and he wanted to scream out in frustration.
Instantly, the creature’s attention was on Jongin, eyes blazing with hunger as it's jaw snapped open. An ear piercing scream ripped out of the monster's vocal cords as it reached out a claw for him. He wanted to move, was willing himself to duck or do something to get away, but his feet were glued to the cement. He was shaking and as he saw his impending doom come closer, he could've sworn he heard a voice scream out his name.

Summary: Life had a way with mysteries. It gave you problems to solve. Jongin didn’t have much of that. But he did have one love that he lost and the reason why was the greatest mystery of all. It only opened a door to questions so much more than that. Questions in life itself.
Note: Please do note that this story heavily mentions suicide and descriptions of said suicides. The whole fic surrounds such topic, however, it does NOT romanticize suicide NOR encourages these acts. Please DO NOT READ if triggered by such a serious issue.
The author also mentions that if a reader is deeply uncomfortable with the fic, they will take it down. The author struggles with depression themselves and uses writing as an outlet to deal with such feelings. This story means a lot to them and it would be great if others would also read the story in order to have a better understanding of such a serious topic.
I wanted to recommend this story because I think it does a really good job at portraying feelings of grief and loss. The author does a great job at expressing these emotions through their characters. I also feel like this author is very underrated and deserves more love and attention. Their goal is to have one of their fics featured and I hope to help them by promoting them on this site.

It’s a pity this masterpiece hasn’t been recommended before, considering it’d been out there shortly after exo went big, but maybe it’s because not many readers are into angst? nevertheless, I hope you will catch up on this classic if you haven’t yet~
