I completely missed that! Okay that’s very interesting, although I’m not...sure why they did that? Like, having the books be destroyed was a way better narrative choice, it sounds like Johnson wussed out.

I have the clearest mental image imaginable of him stepping onto the loamy earth of some farflung jungle planet, pulling off his unicorn-horn bubble space helmet, taking a deep breath, then slamming the helmet to the ground, throwing his hands in the air, and YELLING.

From the surrounding forest, in answer to his triumphant call, come a chorus of  deafening and unearthly screams and howls and roars.

His eyes are brimming with tears.  He has come so far, waited so long for this moment, and now there is no going back.  “I HAVE COME TO PET ALL OF YOU!”

You can pretty much tell him to go fucking hurl himself off a cliff, and you can end any scenes you are uncomfortable with by saying No. He grabbed me recently and started talking about “forcing” me (a troubling peace of dialogue that keeps cropping up) and I basically did the verbal reply of beating the ever loving shit out of him in text game format. After that he stopped making grabs and just makes leering comments which are either funny or just dumb that you can either encourage or tell him you’re going to cut his balls off. It just makes him laugh.

He suffers from the unfortunate disease of Headus Upus Assus combined with Alpha Male Bullshit.

I’m pretty much in it for his wolf at this point. And that is not a metaphor. That sweet murder puppy deserves someone better in his life than Bishop and I intend to be that person.

Nice! I haven’t actually been to Detroit properly before - my dad, brother and I went to the Henry Ford Museum in Dearborn but that’s as close as I’ve been. So I’m pretty excited. 

I mean, i’ll just be there for the beer and arena food and hoping my gf enjoys seeing her team lol.

Semi-related question: where do you source your non-stomach-upsetting flour? 'Tis the season for staring at baked goods wistfully.

Atm I am using Bob’s Red Mill organic flour which is nothing but wheat, no enrichment or bleaching. I’ve had success with other organic flours too, but the best ones for my weird food issues are still imported flours from Europe. Apparently our wheat is a “soft” variation which if I remember correctly has less gluten or, gluten that breaks down more easily. Which is why my initial attempts at bread making over here were like mixing concrete.
