For your warrior au, you could make mikasa be the Pearl of hizuru, bc her parents marriage maybe helped the country A lot. Idk what you’re doing with paradis, but assuming that paradis is a colony of Marley, you could make the ackermans nobility from paradis, who own The fuel mines (the ones they use for odm gear, I also dk what you plan for that) and there’s a marriage between mikasa’s mum and dad (a love one bc I adore them) and it just had a lot of benefits bc the eldians now have A lot more political and financial power, whilst hizuru has A lot of technological advancement Bc of the fuel, then mikasa would be the Pearl bc shes basically a symbol of their good fortune and ‘golden age’, as well the ppl adoring her parents relationship, basically shes a confirmation of the relation between paradis and hizuru

Okay so now that you mention her parents, I think she was their hope because she was the last living heir, direct descendant of their royal family. Her parents are dead. That’s actually her backstory. Guess I’ll spoil everything bc when I write this 30 years later, you won’t remember it. 😂

Her mother fell in love her father and they ran away together when her mother fell pregnant. However child birth was hard and her mom died. I didn’t work out what happened to her father, but somehow he’s dead (maybe executed for absconding with the princess or is attacked 🤷🏾‍♀️). Somehow, she ends up back in Hizuru. Her secret is that she’s also an Ackerman. It’s top secret!!

As for the world, I planned it to be the same. Paradis is still the island, Eldians are still being persecuted, it’s a mess. Except instead of getting away to Paradis, Grisha ends up getting away to “Switzerland” after Kruger saves him (I guess he does it earlier before they get to the island). There he will meet Carla, fall in love, and have Eren. A few years later he will be found out. Marley will kill Carla (in front of Eren though they don’t know he’s there (he like 4-5)), take Grisha to feed him to my OC to pass on the attack titan and Zeke will be stuck with a little brother to raise. It’s why Eren hates Marley and his hate for Zeke falls in there too.

Okay but that has arranged marriage written all over it. Or scandalous love affair like I have in mind, but she’d probably get to marry for love too. I love the idea. With this, I see them meeting when they’re older. Mikasa trying to learn how to be a matriarch, Eren forever has a complex of some type, and she finds his cynical view of the world interesting since she’s lived such a…nice life. Idk, maybe Marley will push for something between them so they can get their foot into this dynasty which makes Eren resist it on the simple fact alone, even though he likes Mikasa. A lot.

It’s going to be called ‘Pearls’ as of right now. I have a working summary, but I don’t think it encompasses the story I have in mind so it’s bound to change.

Summary: Warrior candidate Eren Yeager is just 13 when he meets the pearl of Hizuru for the first time.

Mikasa is called the Pearl of Hizuru. She’s considered their hope and now that I’m typing this I do not know why she’s their hope. That’s crazy that the thought never occurred to me despite how long I’ve had that in mind. Wow…

Um they’ll meet once a year or so which means that each year their…relationship will increase? Letters would be too risky…but the occasional one would be nice.

There will be a few OCs! It’s going to be my first time having them in a fic so hopefully that goes well!

I’m loving the Warrior Eren and Princess Mikasa AU. It reminds me of the Eremika Fic Echoes of You, which is REALLY good! What ideas do you have?

I won’t say too much because I do actually have a lot planned (and yet so much more seems to need to be planned like what to with Porco bc I just don’t like him. I don’t). But…

Eren and Mikasa will meet young. I’ve never done ‘a coming of age’ story, but this will be that. Her folding to the pressure of being Hizuru’s next ruler, doing her best to conform to what society wants for her and keep her nation afloat, maybe being forced into an arranged marriage (very likely to happen). Him with his hate for Marley (bc of his backstory, actually imo they both have interesting backstories here) and disdain for Zeke who is raising him and trying to keep him safe when he’s always acting out. They both feel trapped and understand that in each other.

The problem kind of comes when he’s chosen to be the next attack titan holder which shocks everyone because he’s always been a rowdy, disobedient shit, but uh, that goes with the political stuff I hope to write with it. It might be a bit of a slow burn since they’re growing up through it.
