i had to stop reading so i could brainrot over nightheart. oh my god. im so scared i will hate him later in the book. but i love how whiny and complainy and "i am the main character no one else is!!!" he is. i love this little guy. he has an emo cut, he has mommy issues, he listens to toy story's "when she loved me" and bawls his eyes out because fuck why wont his mom just acknowledge him as nightheart its not his fault hes so annoying

i am actually foaming and shaking and eating cardboard over this freak. i love him. ive never felt so strongly about a character in my life.

hes trans. im headcanoning him as trans. but not because "sparkpelt is transphobic for being so against his name" but because i like him.

he is trans bc it is so trans of him to be so obnoxious about hating his given name. it is so trans of him to be the petty little rat that he is.

i love this boy. i adore my little emo blorbo. i wanna shake him around and scrunch his face.

still refusing to read the rest of the book because in my funny little head, nightheart bonded with alderheart and jayfeather and now he's their cute little "you can sit quietly in here and be emo but dont you even think about touching the herbs" boyfriend because he just sucks at his warrior duties.
