Anyone here remember my long flinthamilton reincarnation fic? (aka dust to dust)

I’m writing a book inscription for someone and it makes me wonder... How long did Thomas spend thinking about the exact words he wanted to write to James, how many pages did he spend writing it out before he decided, did he practice? Or did he just know and choose it on the spot?
