Ok 97% of American scientists are atheists... these are the people that are moving our country forward. Unlike religious people, we do not believe that a fucking book is necessary to understand that we should not do bad things. Similarly, we believe that a book that treats homosexuality as a sin, implies that the earth is only a few thousand years old, & promotes slavery is disgusting. Perhaps you aren't understanding that those who live by the words in this book consist mainly of conservatives.
LMAO i can’t believe it’s 2017 and i, a gay christian who is very much accepted by my church family, am receiving this in my inbox unironically
"In Flanders Fields" is a war poem in the form of a rondeau, written during the First World War by Canadian physician Lieutenant-Colonel John McCrae. He was inspired to write it on May 3, 1915, after presiding over the funeral of friend and fellow soldier Lieutenant Alexis Helmer, who died in the Second Battle of Ypres.
