I might not be the fastest person on the trail, in fact I never finished earlier than 5th (out of 5 no less) in my age group through the whole series, I was usually close to last. But I showed up and finished. Lacing up your shoes and getting out the door is the hardest part. Followed the red line up the snow to the top of Moonbeam, then some fast, steep downhill on the service road. We had a great group of CM Vets and support members at the @wasatchtrailrunseries Trail running is a great family event, two of the Veterans kids ran the 5 mile trail race. CM Family members Autumn and Richard Krulisky came out with their family to volunteer at the race (unfortunately I never got a photo of them as they rushed off to help Mitt). Legally blind runner Kelly Draper ran another great race proving CM Vets will never quit! David Smith missed the turn off for short course so he ended up running the long course (8 miles).
