The new normal. Context: I had a doctor's appointment earlier today at the mall, long overdue since the end of March. The clinic was closed along with the mall upon the declaration of the community lockdown, and only resumed partial operations recently. I took these photos after I was done. The mall itself was almost devoid of life in spite of splattering of jittery people itching from cabin fever and bourgeois cravings. Predictably though, the lines were concentrated on groceries and, now that they're open, hardware stores. Since there's still no public transport, it was a 30 minute walk from my place to the mall, and another half hour back. The side streets were mostly empty, but there was moderate traffic on the main roads. #MetroManilaLockdown #LocalQuarantine #StayAtHomeMgaTimawa #SugodMgaBurgis #WashYourGorramHands #PakyuKaCOVID19 #MassTestingNow #LongDistanceWalking (at Ayala Malls) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAsY0QGBLf5/?igshid=h53yvlyluqra
